Language Tutor Program
As an English tutor you will live with a French family and teach them English.
This is also a great program for people who want to experience life in France and the French culture in-depth. The program has a focus on cultural exchange and host families are not only excited to learn English but also love to share the characteristics of their amazing country, culture and cuisine. Our tutoring program in France is designed for young adults/students aged 18 years and more.
Age Requirement: must be 18 years old minimum.
Program length: 1 to 3 months.
Location: Paris, suburbs of Paris and provincial towns.
Program content: You will be hosted by a French family. The typical family can be a couple living with younger children. This program gives you the opportunity to share the everyday life with a French family - discover France - and teach your mother tongue to people who are willing to learn English. Free time allows you to travel and experience the French culture.
Accommodation: You will stay in a private room furnished with a wardrobe and a desk and share the bathroom with the other family members. Full board is included. What is expected from you? The family will expect from you that you speak with them in English 15 hours per week and help them with light daily house chores. The conversations can take place during the meals and after the children are collected from school. Teaching experience is not required, AFX will provide you with some great ideas of how to incorporate teaching into your time with the family, and naturally, your creativity in this will be rewarded! You organise your schedule with the family according to everyone’s commitments. You will have free time at weekends and at evenings. Some knowledge of French is recommended but not required.
Fees: This program costs $1.100 for 1 month and $100 per extra month.
