One Way Programs - Semester Programs
This program is designed for candidates who want to enjoy the French school experience for an entire semester.
Ages: between 14 and 17 years old.
Program Length: 1 Semester
Program Location: Paris or Regional France.
Program Period: From 25/08/2010 until 02/01/2011 (18 Weeks)
From 26/12/2010 until 05/07/2009 (27 Weeks)
About the program: The candidate is matched with a French family with children. Whilst in the host country, the exchange student will go to school and is completely integrated into the French family.
How the Programs Works: Once AFX has received a student's application, we will contact the student to arrange an informal interview with at least one parent. This enables AFX to gather the necessary information needed to truly understand the candidate's personality. All the French families will be interviewed as well in the family home.
AFX makes sure that all candidates will be having their private bedroom while in France and we also make sure that all adults living in the family undergo a police check.
AFX Support: While the students are in France AFX in contactable 24/7 and give regular phone calls to the students to to help and support, and to check on their well-being. AFX arranges for the host family to pick the candidate up at the airport the closest to their home.
Optional Activities: AFX organises as optional extras for all students:
- 3 day sightseeing and cultural group tours of Paris accompanied by and AFX team-member
- 2 day trips to ski in the French Pyrenees
